Specialist contact lens manufacturer, UltraVision, will be attending this year's National Optometric Conference and HOAC35 conference, to be held at The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate from 26th to 29th November.
UltraVision's team will be available, on stand number 11, for Hospital and High Street Opticians to find information on the extensive product range offered, including the newly launched KeraSoft® IC and UltraWave® SiH.
Lynn White MSc F.C.Optom, who specialises in Irregular Corneas including Keratoconus and practices in her own clinic in Mayfair London, will be presenting a one hour workshop at the Conference. Her presentation on 'KeraSoft for Irregular Corneas' gives the contact lens practitioner an overview of the types of irregular cornea, their possible aetiology and outlines the number of options available to the professional supporting the patient. Lynn then describes the KeraSoft® lens family, outlining the design and clinical benefits of the KeraSoft®3 and the latest KeraSoft® IC lenses. She explains how these soft (SiH) lenses can be fitted to very challenging problems with excellent results in terms of comfort, long wearing times and vision. Patient testimonials are a key aspect of Lynn's presentation, enabling the audience to see the effects of the conditions and solutions from both the practitioner's perspective and from the wearer's perspective.
KeraSoft® IC has a number of configurable lens parameters, including customisable periphery design and sector management control, which uniquely, can be fully tailored to meet the needs of the individual eye. The KeraSoft® IC lens, incorporating wavefront optics, is available in the market-leading DefinitiveT SiH material as well as a popular high water content 77% Hydrogel material. With the recent increase in post-laser surgery corneal changes, this lens ticks all the boxes for health, optics, comfort and ease of fitting.
Also showcased on the stand will be UltraWave® SiH. With a low modulus of 0.5MPa these lenses are designed to offer better health and comfort by being softer on eye. 'Designed by UltraVision for UltraVision', UltraWave® SiH lenses with their high oxygen permeability, also incorporate UltraVision's award-winning SAM® and Wavefront technologies, providing greater visual acuity. Further information on UltraVision's full range of lathe-cut 74% water SiH contact lenses will also be available; along with case studies and articles about the KeraSoft range of specialist contact lenses.
UltraVision's Sales Executive, Leslie Jaffray, will be available to speak to; Leslie and the rest of the team are very much looking forward to catching up with familiar faces and meeting new customers. |
