This lens is available in PF30, PF45, Optimum Comfort and Optimum Extra materials as standard.

The large diameter and polynomial back surface together with a novel front surface design, all combine to give initial comfort approaching that of soft lenses and in most cases patients will successfully complete the changeover within a few days. A unique system of differential edge types is used to aid lens movement and positioning with the aim of maximising tear exchange. An addtional advantage of this design is its tendency to overcome three and nine o'clock staining. It is important note that this lens is generally fitted 0.10mm flatter than mean K as the position of the lens on the eye is controlled by the front design. The Xtralens^TM also provides an extremely good frame for a bifocal and trifocal optical portion.
