 The highly prestigious Royal Award, the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2006, was bestowed specifically for UltraVision CLPLs SAM® and UltraWaveTM technologies by Her Majesty The Queen on 21st April 2006.
The Queen's Award is the most esteemed award that a UK company can receive for business performance.
As part of the follow up, on Monday 10th July, J Keith Lomas, John Clamp and Bill Twemlow, attended an audience with Her Majesty The Queen and H.R.H The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace.
An official presentation of the award took place on Friday 4th August by the Queen's representative, Mr Samuel C Whitbread, JP, Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire. Prior to giving the award to J Keith Lomas, Group President and CEO of UltraVision CLPL, Mr Whitbread was given a tour around UltraVision's premises.

Mr Lomas remarked, 'The presentation of this award has made official the innovative designs and technologies that have allowed UltraVision CLPL to grow four-fold over the previous four years. Every member of staff throughout the whole company should be congratulated on this most prestigious award. We are all extremely proud to fly the Queen's Award flag over the next five years. This honour has come about through years of hard work and dedication, and we will continue this ethos, both as an organisation, and as individuals, to ensure that UltraVision CLPL continuously lives up to this commendation'

Mr John Baker FBDO, Master Spectacle Maker attended on Friday and said, 'An achievement of UltraVision CLPL in gaining the Spectacle Makers award in 2001 was outstanding at the time and has been surpassed by the Queen's Award. It is an excellent award to have won and I would like to congratulate them and thank them for the wonderful opportunity to be there on Friday'

Mr Whitbread presented Mr Lomas with a commemorative bowl and a certificate, which was signed by Her Majesty the Queen and The Right Honourable Tony Blair MP, Prime Minister.
